I joined the armed services because of fighting.
I did not have an exemplary term however my term was Outstanding and therefore superceding any exemplary definition. Because of my outstanding service ; I did gain an education route much earlier than I expected and that was good for me.
If the terms of service were improved the service ranks would swell.

People are not joining the military is two reasons. Pay and constant war not for our freedom but to be able to exploit resources like oil, rare Earth minerals and water… Government manufactured consent isn't so easy now the internet is so woven into our lives….As we question how does bombing a third world country keep us free? No, I have friends who served in the military we all graduated high school in 2002. Sadly, I couldn’t serve in the military because of a physical impairment. Otherwise I would’ve signed up after college. Right now, I’ll be honest and admit the military is the last thing on the minds of meaning of our young folk. When they thinkA Lee die. Those who go and bother to get information about the military and ask tough questions they don’t get answers they want to hear. I had a friend whose son wanted to join the military and he asked tough questions when I’m done with my service what skills will I have that I can apply to the real world. He got a solid answer when speaking to people who had come from the military. He would learn a lot of skills in the military, but some of the skills he would learn wouldn’t be applicable to a 9-to-5 job.
I have a coworker who served in the military he was on army he loaded large gun type machines they would fire huge shells that could explode. I forget what it was called. He loved his job in the military. He broke his back. He had to take a discharge. When he got back home, he had skills, operating certain military machinery, no business needed someone with those skills. Fortunately, being a military man, his position at his employer before he left, was held for him. The company we worked for at the time actually tried to fire him, but the military stepped in, and they said no this man went to serve his country. You cannot let him go. He had his job back months later. I hate to say this, but it is true. If someone goes to serve in the military, there’s a slim chance that the skills they learn there can be applied to a standard job here in America. We as a nation have to make sure that if someone serves they can come out of the military and feel comfortable either going to school or entering the job market. I would love to see pay increases for the lower levels of the military all the ranks below master sergeant. I think they all should get significant pay raises 15%. Make it so that a person coming into the military knows that they will get a middle class salary I mean a true middle-class salary $40,000 that’s far more than the $23,000 or $24,000 an E1 starts out earning right now. Make it irresistible. If you join the military, we pay you well. When you leave the military we have options for you. If you want to go to school it’s free if you want to buy a house we’re going to give you some money towards it if you want to start a business, here’s to start up capital make it so that someone who joins the military is showered in wealth for doing so. We are quick to heat praises on someone for serving in the military. We’re not so quick to throw money at them for serving in the military. I have no problem if you raise my taxes to pay someone who served in the military more money to give them more benefits while they’re in the military, and when they leave make it happen.
