The former Parkland, Florida resource officer charged with failing to confront the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter who killed 14 students and three staff members in 2018 has been found not guilty on all counts. Scot Peterson addressed the media after the verdict was reached and said that the only one to blame for the tragedy was “that monster”, referring to the gunman. #news #breakingnews #parkland #florida #abcnews SUBSCRIBE to ABC News on YouTube: https://bit.ly/2vZb6yP Latest Updates: http://abcnews.go.com/ Watch FULL EPISODES on Hulu: http://abcn .ws/3bzvQQn

If you don’t have courage then you shouldn’t be a police officer!!!!!!!! Period!!! I’m just a grandma and I would have ran in the direction of the emergency and laid my life down for the children no IF’s , ANDS OR BUT’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
trying to cover up his cowardness as they all do after something like this.
I bet there are lots of police officers out there who are very afraid of being prosecuted for shooting or hurting anyone , and that would be the main thing on their minds when dealing with a dangerous situation
This guy is an embarrassment to all decent law enforcement officers and should be branded for the coward that he is!!!! Yellow belly coward of Broward!!! If he would just shut up and take responsibility of his "inaction" then I think people would be more forgiving!!!
Kids was dying and the only cop with the gun was hiding behind the building
Glad everyone was educated that no government agency has an obligation to protect anyone. It has been ruled unconstitional serveral times through out our long history.
Only person to blame was the shooter.
See right through this coward
If i had a dollar for every person accused of "not doing anything" in a country without gun control…
Well you mindless poppets looking for the government to save you please understand that it is not the job of a police officer to save your life.
He's to blame for not doing enough. He was more concerned about his life and his retirement.
Coward of broward
keep in mind we had the best cowards in the business on that job
Cowardice is not illegal but should be a fireable offence.
That's fun the government doesn't have to protect us or our children by law. And You're not allowed to have guns anywhere near a school if you're law abiding citizen. Let's be honest criminals don't obey gun-free zone laws.
Yeah don't ever forget all of the victims while you didn't do your job.
It's a horrible deal he obviosly was hired the wrong person for the job Selling shoes at Macy's a better fit. Real policeman policewoman would have acted real as they are trained to do GOD BLESS OUR REAL POLICE thank you for what you do
Coward.
Smdh what a shame and he will live with that guilt forever. I know damn well if I was a school cop I would've put my life on the line for those kids.. Ill do it anyway for my own child let alone everyone else's…prayers for the families ❤😢
Mf’er should be in jail. Coward.
COWARD!
Meanwhile some kid save hundreds of people from an active shooter wit an AK-15 with his hand gun
The best you could GTFOH
..they prayed for him..
How about we do something about the guns instead of harassing people that don't want to get shoot.🤔
COWARD!!! ANOTHER FAILURE FROM THE AMERICAN UNJUSTICE SYSTEM!
How do you not do something..disgraceful
What a disgrace. Coward
Coward
Let the civil suits fly
What a coward. He is not the victim.
It takes a white guy with a gun to run from a bad guy with a gun. His affirmative action was running away and letting children get slaughtered by one of his fellow militia members.
So I say to you all. This man may not have lost his freedom, but he has lost something that is just as valuable, and that is the ability to hold his head up in public.
So being a coward isn’t illegal. Got it.
HE'S A COWARD AND ALWAYS WILL BE !
He has a lot of NERVE. He was as much a "monster" as the mass shooter…he went A W O L…DERILICT of DUTY…his job was to "PROTECT and SERVE". He carries some guilt and blame as well.
When he was found not guilty. You could see the look on his face, knowing he was guilty.
Even in interviews, you can see him frantically trying to justify himself.
Whenever I am getting in my SUV anywhere if I see a little kid run by and I didn’t see where they go I put my car in park and wait and watch until I see a parent put the kid into a car or is in my line of vision, a car length away.
I couldn’t live myself with that kind of guilt of being directly or indirectly involved in something like that.
If he had any honor, he'd end himself.
From now on, any time you think of cowardice of the highest order it's COPS! Cops who choose to save themselves at the expense of dead children.
This guy should be I jail his job is protect and swrve the people and when it came to it he didn’t to anything this coward shame on you sir
Jesus said the worst thing you can do is hurt children. I will it right there.
So the law is set by different states, if there’s an active shooter, security guard are not required to take actions. Only to flee and call police. Especially in Oregon it’s called duty to retreat.
This guy was a security resource officer. Not a cop. Going up against an AR with a handgun would be certain death unless you caught the suspect by surprise.
Coward
That department never misses an opportunity to harass black people, tho.
