First all it takes about 8 years to go full time driving then you have drive safe for a year to then you apply to drive the big rigs then after that you have to be a sleeper team.

2019 signed up work at Pre-load part time as I enjoy a good work out and I get paid also which was the worst mistake of my life. 2020 pandemic came and there were no safety measures. We were not provided any face covering not only that the work doubled as the economy was shut down except for essential workers. They finally provided us face mask in July 2020 which made the work even more difficult due to fact we were already loading trailers at times were over 100 degree and people are sweating profusely. Wearing a face mask soaking wet from sweat I could only compare that to the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay waterboarding.One day I was explaining safety measures to a new employee and my supervisor walked by yelling at the new worker space is waste as it cost UPS money when the trailer is not loaded to the ceiling. Also, any light package throw it over on top. As I was assigned to train new hire I felt obligated to education these hire of the safety procedure so I question my supervisor is it against company policy not to throw customers package. My supervisor look at me menacingly while saying UPS pays me to not think but do as I am told. Then next month while throwing over a light package it bounce back and injured me. Since then I have endured incredible pain simply with every breath day and night. UPS lawyers and insurance have delayed sometimes out right deny my medical treatment along with my disability payment regardless of the fact I was in the union. My entire life been turn upside down while UPS is turning a 6% profit. Please if you get a job at UPS follow the safety and ignore the supervisors they are in the best interest of the company and not your health.

My daughter works for UPS and she's not really clear on what the strike is about. We all know it's about money but it could be more than that. This would be devastating to our economy once again if you UPS goes on strike.
What if a new set of employees started ?
Ups workers endure poor working conditions, excessive long hours, forced in to work on days off, 14 hour work days with little personal or family life, and militant management that harass the workers.
Thats gotta change.
