A manhunt is underway for 35-year-old Eric Abril who escaped from the Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Abril is accused of fatally shooting one person and injuring a police officer during a hostage situation in Roseville, Calif. KCRA’s Lysée Mitri reports.

This is really an ugly mark on the record of local law enforcement. He escaped from a 24-hour guard. This man is very dangerous. He has no respect for the law.

I’m glad they got him I hope they got the right person though you never know if he actually did what they think that he did! We had a situation like this recently with a high risk transfer but they ensured extra security for transfer but unfortunately so many places are understaffed so it’s unfortunate it came to this!

This is a massive manhunt. He is a very dangerous man. How could you have escaped being watched by guards 24 hours a day?
I hope that they catch him soon. How did he manage to escape? And why are prisoners escaping so often nowadays? It seems like this happens every few weeks.
