Comedian Sarah Silverman has filed a lawsuit against social media giant Meta and OpenAI that claims they’re using her content without permission to make their apps work better. NBC News legal analyst Danny Cevallos explains what Silverman and two other authors are alleging and whether the suit could create more opportunities for content creators to take legal action against social media companies.

This lawsuit is funny. Not only is it pointless. OpenAI used ‘open sourced data’ (aka stuff on the internet such as articles and quotes.) it’s so funny. Now she gets her 15 minutes of fame from nation television. Pathetic

Hopefully this establishes a precedent that ends A.I.
Right now AI is in the stage where it needs traditional data created by humans to learn anything. However, the next major phase of AI will come when it can learn to produce and understand content without any structured human generated data. At that point artists and authors won't have a case against AI. If your becoming obsolete the answer is to upskill yourself. Not sue the pants off everyone because you want a piece of there success.

I like this development. More should come forward. Not that I am against AI but not anyone industry or anybody should have a monopoly of anything. Policing AI is not bad, it's like what we do in life — we also watch we do or what others do to us (using our content, data, etc)
