Once worked in a place the IT manager was Chinese. He only hired Chinese speaker employees. In meeting he never addressed me (a woman) and just spoke Chinese to his male employees and then gave me a what do you know about IT look and a vague answer. I involved my boss which was his boss n asked the same question. He answered to my boss only-my boss made him repeat the answer to me. Discrimination is everywhere. White, Asian, minorities. Ppl are d*cks!

Just checked the executive team of Lumentum. There are at least 3 Asian executives, 1 Middle Eastern, and the rest are Whites. I think they have enough representation of Asian there. How about Black and Hispanic?

I'm from the American South and my people are made fun of for our accents regularly. Yankees are made fun of for their accents. The way people from Minnesota speak is always made fun of. Valley Girls are made fun of. Etc. The fact this guy wasted co.pany time and resources to form a "support" group to deal with this is reason enough to fire him.
I LOL'ed a bit about the "R" pronunication bit have they ever heard anyone with a Boston accent they even add R's where they don't belong like on the word idea. English is the one language that if you half try most people have your meaning.

The alleger/victim is chinese. His lawyer is Korean. The reporter is japanese. They've got their bases well covered. BTW, everyone's "r" pronunciations seem to be in check.
