I pretty sure Aretha never said my life is coming to a close.. she rarely did interviews and most certainly wasn’t talking about her death. She earned the money through her hard work.. if they cannot honor what’s on 2014 then duke it out in court. Many, many, many people live under an assumption falsely that their children will come together and be of one accord to do what's right. It's unfortunate but quite commonplace. Many people refuse to discuss death and will not visit sick or dying relatives because "I can't stand to see them like that" but sit through an hours long funeral. I'd wager many people in this thread calling her irresponsible don't have their affairs in order.

Meh. Looks like everyone's typically worried about what they will or not get. Did anyone ever raise a hand to help her when she needed it? Did anyone ever check in on her? Instead of judging her b/c she didn't take the time to put together a complex estate, did anyone who was so "caring" stop to consider maybe she was too sick to worry about it? I don't know if they did or didn't , but the hypocracy of maybe this situation or certainly many like it is astonishing.
