Dr. Benjamin Mauck, a renowned orthopedic surgeon in Tennessee, was shot to death by his patient, according to police. The 29-year-old suspect had been at the office for several hours to be treated and opened fire when inside the exam room. NBC News’ Blayne Alexander reports.

He brought a gun, making this premeditated. Geez, if you have a grievance, file a malpractice lawsuit, don't bring a gun. So few details given, who can pass judgement on the doctor? Guns are for protecting your life, not taking them because you don't like the treatment plan.

I am sorry for the dr but you need to know all of the facts before jumping to conclusions!! Look it up, there’s been several dr’s that have been assaulted because they are saying no to pain meds for their patients!! Pharmacy’s are also getting quotes of how many pain meds they can sell!! Ask someone in the medical field what’s going on with pain meds!!! This is also why so many had turned to fentanyl!!!!!

It hasn't sunk in with the general public in the UK….the moment the Russians switched from an offensive mode to a defensive posture, Ukraine lost its opportunity to win this war. The USSR spent decades preparing for an invasion by NATO. They knew they could never gain air superiority over the West, so they developed a strategy to deny the West of air superiority – a small and relatively competent air force, state of the art surface to air defence. And in order to compensate for the loss of tactical air support, they built up an arsenal of artillery assets that dwarfed the collective artillery firepower of NATO by a factor of 10. Mechanised or Combined Arms offensive warfare was never their thing, but defensive warfare was their specialty. As we run out of our stockpiles of artillery shells in NATO, and we have to increasing resort to rockets, missiles and now it seems fighter jets to address the deficiency in artillery – the Russians are still enjoying a 4:1 advantage in artillery. The advantage has swung to the Russian side and it's about time we recognise this. Since the Russians have switched to defence, the Ukrainian "counter offensive" has led to nowhere. Without a massive air campaign (not a job for a merr handful of F-16s), the Ukrainian army will find it very difficult to make any headway against the Russian defences. The Russians went into this war underestimating their own troop requirements, they sent in 180,000 men in offensive operations. Now they have roughly 400,000 men dug in on the defensive. And when the frontline isn't advancing rapidly, artillery becomes far more effective, as do trenches, anti-tank installations, anti-personnel mines. NEVER MIND the media showing us a hand-full of Ukrainians killing a handful of Russians daily, this war is rapidly becoming unwinnable for the Ukrainians.
