@5:25 What this police officer is failing to state, is that the Suffolk County officers were arrested for things like procuring prostitutes and using illicit drugs, and drugging prostitutes. This is relevant because the women who were killed were thought to be sex workers at the time of their murder who may have been drugged. Also, there is some thought that because of what these cops were doing, they were purposely hampering the investigation because they didn't want it to come out that they had also been frequenting prostitutes as that may have come out in interviews with ppl from this world. Additionally, one of the cops at the time said something to the effect of "Fortunately, the serial killer was just killing prostitutes," so bias was an issue. All these issues led to a new team to be put together to look into this case.
