Our great country, one that many lives have been lost to maintain the freedoms we have a privilege to live with, to allow a veteran to be literally kicked out for a drug related offense that stem from the sacrifice to serve in our armed forces in which he/she lived through things that none of us ever have to do and to come out on the other side with PTSD, is unreal to me… we use them then kick them out??? Something is very wrong with this.

Real patriots fought in wars without documents but just do something wrong when you are back and you get kicked out without any issues. But people try to overthrow the government, Jan 6th, and they get some months in jail and everything is fine as normal. They will still complain that they are treated unjustly, give a break.

It's ridiculous to deport veterans who sacrificed and served this country. Contrarily, we keep DACA who haven't done a thing to society other than asking for free stuff! I'm not anti-immigrant. I want us to attract and retain the brightest and contribute to us.
The man is lying his application got lost. It's very easy form, and interview is paltry and you have it, once you have PR which is basically no one can get. He was being lazy and wasn't educated that laws are very strict especially since 1996 Democratic law, even for PR holders. Moreover, "one size fits all* approach that treats a career criminal or Rocket Scientist and anyone in between, the same way. All immigrants are basically removable automatically with almost no discretion for the judge to consider (after 1996 Democratic law)
