  1. I’m not sure leaving the team announcement so late is actually good for the players themselves. If they announce team earlier, it gives players time to settle their minds, especially the fringe players.

  5. Australia will win the ashes if they can bat for 3 days out of the 5. That should be all that matters. They can entertain etc AFTER the ashes are secured
