The question is why the United States gone from trains moving goods across the nation to trucks that get about 6 mpg? Why do we import goods that we can make ourselves and after we first export the materials to build those goods? Why did we tear up public rail transportation for the automobile? Why do we need big ass pickup trucks that never see work? Why do we build sprawling cities that require the automobile in stead of local markets located along rails for supplies? We use to do all these things, but gave up the sensible for the nonsensible. If you're concerned about the 2 degree global temperature rise in the last forty years, look at your home town. You'll recognize it as it's built around the automobile and truck and urban sprawl. If governments were truly concerned about global warming, they'll build desirable high rise condos at low property tax rates in cities with markets adjacent to railway arteries to reduce the dependence on the automobile. Common sense is the possible cure for global warming, not the Feds pushing EVs that end up as dangerous toxins in landfills and eventually in the water.

This is nonsense. It was hotter in the recent and distant past. There is no satellite data before 1979, and there was no real network of temperature stations outside Europe and America before the 1950s, so "hottest ever" is not very long!
It was much hotter in America in the 1930s, and the Vikings grew barley on Greenland, which is impossible today.

Satellite data shows the Earth is continuing to warm at around one-tenth of a degree Celsius per decade. If we didn't have thermometers we couldn't even notice it.

The climate has been changing since the ice age and extremely at times with no human recorded data, it will continue to cycle no matter what we do or don't do, the arrogance of some humans claiming that we can stop , slow down or alter this evolutionary phenomenon. Think for yourself for a change. We are a temporary habit until the universe has another correction, so just live your life!

These media claims are so bogus, Highest temperatures in recorded history, record breaking temperatures. First you need context, highest temperatures since 1980? Since 1880? Since 1600? Since the Cretaceous period? All those are recorded history. It’s nothing but the continues spin of sensationalist media that means nothing! 😢😢😢
