My theory is women that lie about their abductions like Sheri Papini definitely have an overwhelming need for attention but also have a need for being a damsel in distress. A lot of women like that feeling of being "saved" this is just a psychotic way to do that.

Then she claimed she had been kidnapped, starved and beatern Turns out she was beaten but it was something she participated in – they didn't find out the truth for almost two years. Husband left her and divorced. This woman sounds in this scenario sounds mentally ill – think she was hoping for some cash; But who knows!

All the highly trained law enforcement and 911 personnel went through enormous stress and care to ensure everyone and everything was carried out to the highest level of professionalism. I hope this event wasn’t a hoax and if it’s determined to be a false report then 20 years in jail is an appropriate punishment.
