Thirteen states from coast to coast are under heat advisories, and the scorching temperatures are expected in the Midwest and the Plains in the days ahead. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson has the latest on the heat wave.

Hey by my my 7 78 poop poop
It's extremely dumb to trek through Death Valley when it's 120 degrees.
Oh my, its SUMMER TIME and its hot, oh my
Good God, the inflammatory, fear inducing language in this bs piece. It’s summer, people. And the man who died in Death Valley, well, it’s called “Death Valley” for a reason.
I suppose there are still people out there who deny global warming…
This has been our coldest July EVER. We had lows in the 50s and 60s, and I've NEVER seen that. This heatwave is supposed to push the temperatures up to normal — finally, just as July is about to end. I don't like it when it gets this hot, but this is normal (finally). The trouble is that people might get heat-stroke because they just aren't prepared for it.
0:11 why would you hike in Death Valley in 120 degree weather? The name should have been a “dead” give away. I feel sorry for his family
The guy who died hiking in DV at 121F got what he was asking for.
ManBearPig
Parts of the Southwest will likely have their hottest Julys since records began in the late 19th century.
Or possibly since all the chem trails have slowed way way down to almost none, just maybe this heat wave has been here for a long time but do to all the fly overs, chemicals released and a foggish glare to block the 🌞; haven’t you noticed how close to the ground the new cloud patterns are and warfare storm’s right on top of us (normal cloud base is much higher and the 2nd row of cloud’s ⛅️ 🌧 🌪 have you noticed the bird’s don’t fly 🦅as high as they use to as was the clouds ☁️ higher)… when I was a kid .
Just a few year’s ago 12 brand new cloud patterns were discovered, we know that contained the chem trail grid patterns…
What’s up with that Thing, ya know that thing, what’s it called: FIRMAMENT? That separates the water from above from the water’s below the “Dry Land” called earth, declared a rotating sphere?
If it's too hot for you to be outside, it's too hot for your pets!
Another BS REPORT BY NBC TO PUSH THE CLIMATE CHANGE AGENDA. IT'S JUST SUMMER IN THE DESERT AREAS . PATHETIC AND DISCUSTING REPORT.
It's called summer
Its summer. It gets hot in the summer. This has happened eveey summer since time began. This is not big news, this is just another hot summer. Good grief.
Is that ground temperature or air temperature. Yes it does matter
The humidity with a heat index of 104-110 here in Florida makes it unbearable at times. It just rained for 5 minutes and it already feels like a hot bowl of soup outside.
Wow. It’s NEVER been that hot here in US before.
Disrespect Mother Nature and you will suffer 😭
In 2050 though, the ozone hole will be fully healed, or mostly. 🙂
Weather maps are among the most blatant forms of fearmongering deployed so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvvBp25eh0U
Its 118° here in Arizona 🥵 wayyyy too hot!! how do you think?? it really dangerous
Keep letting the military and companies get away with polluting
Idk why people say we are having a heat wave in las Vegas. We have had 133 degree weather many times and this summer is mild.
