Dozens of people were rushed to the hospital after a deck collapsed at a country club in Montana on Saturday. NBC News’ Blayne Alexander has the story.

I was at a party in the early 90’s and I was the last person to step out on to a 3 story deck. It collapsed like an elevator. I was 6’-1” tall and I only weighed 185lbs. Nobody got hurt. It’s definitely a story that always gets brought up when we still get together.
I've always worried about this happening at the FOE Eagles Club in the Heights. Kinda sketchy. Be wary.

Is that some kind of wood construction, cause I see steel ledger angles that tie into structure and those connections into the building look flimsy, some kind of expansion bolts maybe. They should have used thru-bolts that anchor through the existing structure to secure perimeter ledger angles. The intermediate framing didn't appear to be separated. The outer framing being supported by exterior steel beams framing into steel column is ok. Problem is framing adjacent to structure

Golf is a dangerous sport.
Avoid large crowds. You can get trampled at soccer matches, religious pilgrimages, or concerts. If you pack an insane amount of partyers on a balcony, deck, or even in an apartment and it can collapse. The bigger the crowd, the more likely some are going to start fighting, possibly with guns, especially when alcohol is flowing, as in street parties. Try to stay away from revolutions, air shows, car races and skyscrapers. The safest place is in a cave, preferably with no more than three other people.😃
Wow! There was a catastrophe at the country club? Oh man, dude. Those 1%'ers have no outdoor deck on which to drink and talk about who's seeing who on the sly. That's a bummer, man, totally.
