The similarities to the war in Ukraine and WW1 are strikingly terrifying.
A heavy emphasis on slow, grinding trench warfare in the frontlines, a precarious build up of alliances obligated to defend one another, and now Russia threatening to attack any vessels entering Black Sea ports seems all too similar to German vessels targeting civilian boats providing aid to the English, which was what finally dragged the U.S. into the war.
It really only seems like a matter of time until the dominoes all start falling.
