All for an island that makes microchips. As much as I love Taiwan, 100 years from now they might not be as big of a global player, if china just has a few hundred year goal to get Taiwan, they probably will end up getting it. But if they try in our lifetimes, it will end in disaster
China is like Italy trying to reclaim parts of the Roman Empire from a thousand years ago, or the French deciding Quebec is really theirs, after all. China has no legal claim to Taiwan because it lost it in war to Japan 120 years ago. Taiwan ceased being Japanese territory because Japan was defeated in WWII, but not by China. It was the USA and its Western Allies that did that. The USA took primary occupying power of former Japanese territories, including Taiwan, Korea and Japan. China also claims Korea and Outer Mongolia. It should be obvious that if China had been in charge following the last war that re-drew international borders in East Asia that Korea and Mongolia would not be independent, Okinawa wouldn't be part of Japan, and there would be no Taiwan issue. But this is not the world today because it was the USA and its Western Allies that won WWII and established the international borders there, not China. China could not even liberate itself and needed to be bailed out. If China wants to start and win WW3 to redraw international borders, we'll see how well they do. But China was definitely not the victor of the last world war, they are not Japanese now only because of US and Soviet intervention.

During the WW2, at the Cairo Conference held in 1943, China asked the transfer of Taiwan's sovereignty back to China after the war. This content was included in the [Cairo Declaration] and later reiterated in the [Potsdam Proclamation] that it should be implemented

The only sick reason America cares about Taiwan is probably because they make the brains for our military weapons at tsmc. America was stupid enough to invest over there just for shareholders greed so they could get rich by avoiding Americans high pay rates. (Just my opinion may or may not be true)

We need faces and names of shareholders and board members and their political affiliation. These traitors probably from the greatest generation and baby boomers would be the ones that sent 5.5 million jobs to China and shuttered up to 90,000 factories in the US since the early 90's. The lack of income from these lost jobs has destroyed communities and made drug addicts/homeless of our young people. That anger in turn leads into run-ins with the police that could get them killed. Plus our young people can't get the training they need because there's nothing to apply it to for a living. As Americans we should ask for these traitors names to be bought to Justice for building up a communist country like China and destroying our own. Generations of Americans lives were sacrificed for profit through the exploitation of other nations cheap labor pools.
