If you haven't studied how Israel's supreme court works, it is very hard to weigh in on it.
For those who don't know, the supreme court justices are appointed by a group of lawyers and judges. I do not know the history of how this came to be but that is how the supreme court there has been running for years.
This is a relatively small group, none of whom are elected officials and the supreme Court has the right to strike down any law they wish, over that matter, any policy they wish.
From an unbiased perspective, I would just say that that is extremely undemocratic. The justice is should be chosen either by elected officials or vote by the people but definitely not by a small band of lawyers. It's actually quite comical. Have a country is trusting its function and its future to bunch of lawyers.
