An American nurse and her child were reportedly kidnapped on Thursday from the campus of a Christian nonprofit near Haiti’s capital. NBC News’ Allie Raffa has the latest amid mounting concerns following the kidnappings.

I went to Haiti on a cruise back in 1975. We rode in a taxi through the middle of town and some of the scenic countryside. The city smelled like a sewer! The people looked poor and desperate. The countryside was a pleasant place. We never got out of the car. I wouldn’t recommend a trip there now.
Never should of brought her child to haiti. Especially without 24/7 security. I hope they're found safe. Its likely all about money. Pay the ransom and get them home and hopefully they'll take their child someone they are safe. Knowingly putting your child at risk like that is shocking.

I realize this woman is living there with her haitian husband (probably why she had her child with her) but from a true crime fanatic, most kidnapping victims don’t last the week. I truly hope nothing happens to this woman and i especially hope her child is safe as well 🙏
