Armadillos have always been associated with leprosy, this is nothing new, just propaganda. Most armadillos are hard to catch, so if you see them, they run. I'd worry more about malaria. Illegal immigrants are bringing malaria to the US. Once you have it, you are never cured. It also is tough to prevent because mosquitoes are the vector. If they bite an infected person and then you, that transfer is possible. There are copius amounts of mosquitoes in Florida. Thanks to Joe Biden and various half-wits, we have an increasing malaria scare !
