Lawyers on Thursday revisited dark, violent evidence in a special hearing to decide whether school shooter Ethan Crumbley, 17, will be sentenced to life in prison without parole for carrying out the 2021 Oxford High School shooting.

In court Thursday morning, the first witness shared writings from Crumbley’s personal journal, in which he laid out his desires to kill his fellow students.

Prosecutors also showed video footage from the shooting, which had never before been seen publicly. Students who witnessed the massacre are also expected to testify.

The prosecution will try to convince the judge that the shooter deserves life in prison without the possibility of parole for his crimes. The victims’ families are expected to be in the courtroom.

  1. He definitely should get life and so should is awful parents

  2. He needs the death penalty. Period.

  3. ๐Ÿ˜ฎI truly know little about this case. The reason is that as an immigrant of over 24 years, I visit my elderly parents in Ireland for Christmas, the Lenten season & at least 2 other times per year. Before I could return to Oklahoma in 2000, we were told nobody would be unaffected by this, so my 9 children are healthy kids & my wife is in her early 40s so I chose to stay with my folks. All my kids earned their first gun & shot their first deer while aged in single digits. Our kids are home-schooled, along with 14 kids belonging to our ranch hands, those whose wives also work on the ranch. My father-in-law told me that many years ago in school, they were taught firearm safety. We got permission, with the backing of the sheriff & people of our area. Unless we're going hunting or practice, the kids wouldn't dare go near a gun, just like a plugged-in chainsaw. Teach your kids guys. Did these parents do any of this I wonder?๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  4. His parents are trash. They couldn't help with his reading, but can buy him a gun, despite having money problems.

  5. Let the victims get ahold of it. He needs to pay. As well as his parents

  6. They love to profile people of color(especially black males)when will this be the profile of a school shooter, can you imagine the cops stopping someone who looks like this and telling him we got a call and you fit the description, ware are all of those white people who are always calling the police on people of color when theyโ€™re somewhere that the white person feels they shouldnโ€™t be, if you ignorant racist idiots donโ€™t get it together, this type of thing will continue to happen in your communities, youโ€™re so busy paying attention to whatโ€™s going on in people of color communities, that youโ€™re not paying attention to the ones who are actually out to get you and your family, that neighbor down the block, that teacher that you trust so much, that young kid that keeps to themselves, all of whom have skin the same color as yours, you all have no idea what these people are doing within your communities and thatโ€™s why every time something horrible happens in your community, you all say the same thing, nothing like this ever happens in this neighborhood, but it happens more often than you all think, so wake up and start paying more attention to the ones thatโ€™s around you, you may be able to stop the next horrible thing that happens in your neighborhood ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™

  7. Bring back the firing squad.

  8. Life in prison is too good for him, this is why we need to keep the death penalty

  9. May he suffer SO GREATLY during the rest of his POS life. ๐Ÿ˜ก
