A fan was on the field at Citi Field during the Sunday night game between the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants but not for the reason you might expect.
Before Francisco Alvarez’s at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning, home-plate umpire Stu Scheurwater called timeout as a man was spotted on the warning track in left-center field after tumbling over the railing.
