Sue the pigs
Always wonder, what't the hurry? The car was pulled over, several police officers with guns…ot seems its always ' how quick can we arrest someone'…adrenalin runs high at a 'high risk stop'…good thing nobdy breathed or sneezed…
who is training them ? poor joob ,every day people are losing respect for the police. Cops they thinks they are above of the law. Things need to change …
The vehicle did not "come back as reported stolen" as one of the officers said multiple times. The information returned to the officer was "no information on file". This indicates a clerical database error. She could have walked to the window and asked to see the Registration and then compare that to the VIN of the vehicle. There was nothing that indicated a risk to officer safety higher than any other traffic stop. There was no need to pull guns out and handcuff.
"They're looking for changes to procedure"?
Here's a change: fire the idiot that doesn't know the difference between AR and AZ.
Huge props to that female cop that owned it. We all make errors and the officers handled the felony stop professionally. The occupants cooperated as they should and all is well that ends well.
I’ve had a similar incident happen to me. It happens.
Of course they're milking this mistake for all it's worth. Typical, soon they'll be suing the PD for reparations.
I was trying to figure what was bothering me about this stop and it was the following….I am strongly reminded of the wrong house raids in Chicago…. They appear to apply the most excessive force to the most vulnerable…. I guess their thought process is that if you are holding a gun to a child's head… The parents are going to submit and "cooperate"…. When they removed the driver… I get it… Get the keys… Granted, they could have used spike strips to make sure no one tries to make a get away… And if the people in the vehicle had been kidnappers or hostage takers… I understand them removing the children… But the handcuffing of the sixth grader… They are going to have to explain that one to me… Reminds me of something I heard a few times… "The reason you have a PR problem is because you have an actual problem"… Noble purpose corruption… Police believe that because they have a positive purpose…. They are entitled and excused when they violate a citizen's rights….
Aw h$ll naw🤬that bm needed to lead his family by praying first.
Diversity hires never work out
They wouldn’t snitch on their criminal friends anyways. Zero sympathy.
This is not an uncommon event in law enforcement. You pick up, brush off and apologize to the people. I was wondering why this made the news. Then, I saw the family was black and figured ABC News selected it to further their usual race peddling political narratives again.
Driving while Black
I saw a incident in Arkansas where a 17 year old was pitted; while rushing her mother to the emergency room! Crime has gotten so out of control; that police feel threatened all the time. They are losing empathy and common sense. We’re not all criminals!
The department must be held accountable hold these thugs to the same Rico charges we get as they wear an image of a blue stripe and profit from the organization and in its name…it’s time we give them what they give us
Dodge Chargers are cop magnets🧲. Sorry just won't due you dyslexic
Poor family..hope they heal
Because of the same ethnicity of the police officer and victims, not much will need to be done, had it been a white police officer, it would be on prime time 😮
Biden, Garland and Mayorkas should be flush in the filthiest toilet for the benefit of the American people and bring back PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!
Sad that this happened but it is amazing how when people comply with the police things work out properly and the people were safe.
Qualified immunity
Why ain’t pigs ever held accountable ??? That pig needs to be in prison. ACAB 1312
When our bmw was stolen the police arrived within 2,3 minutes but they were talking to each other and laughing. They didn’t even care about us and how much we were crying for our car. They simply said call your insurance that’s it. The thieves were just 10,12 minutes far away they could have been arrested if the police went after them.. worst service
Sad that the woman didn’t Even make a proper apologize.
Police in the US are fucking scumbags. Car stolen ok Let’s aim guns at them. Perhaps do another check before stopping someone and hold them at gunpoint. The woman should’ve gotten fired because she clearly is a morron. Hope the family is doing well❤
Wow leave it to the police 😮
Jesus Christ people, cops are human, they make mistakes. Sure, it was scary, but they complied and nobody got hurt. Same thing happened to me when I was a kid. Cop mistook my car for another one of the same make and model that was used in a bank robbery. I was pulled out, at gunpoint, cuffed, and we figured it all out. Everyone moved on, that simple.
Cop: "Oh goody goody!!! I get to draw my weapon! Who cares if it's all based on a stupid, incompetent mistake on our part,..I GET TO DRAW MY WEAPON! WEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Now do as i say or i'll shoot,..even if it's our mistake.
At least i get to go home after my shift. Who cares about anyone else?"
As Forrest said "Stupid is as stupid does"
In this case it's also "Incompetence is as incompetence does"
Stupidity & incompetence,…a surefire recipe for ridiculous and sometimes unnecessarily deadly cop behavior.
But hey, we investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong. **eye roll**
There were no tickets for any traffic violations, so why did they run the plate?
Will Jason Aldean make a song about these cops?????
The reason why Police exert such actions just like this is because, you allowed everyone to have guns in your country
I just got sick on the stomach watching that man cry
As far as I'm concerned people are being just a touch too hard on the officer. Did she screw up? Absolutely! She did one thing that most civil servants don't do- she acknowledged her mistake and she apologized. To me that shows significant character and should count in her favor. It doesn't absolve her but it does help her situation.
Sounds like a multi million dollar lawsuit…. No s.. t you made a mistake b… Ch…. Oops sorry we killed everyone, sorry made a mistake 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Stop running plates if the driver did nothing wrong. 😑
"In a statement, Frisco police say they ran the families plates because chargers are frequently stolen." – Ummm what?!? So what they are essentially saying is cops run almost every single plate they see because chargers are by far NOT the most common vehicle to be stolen; by that logic they are checking nearly every vehicle. Thus increasing the likelihood of situations like this happening exponentially!
That officer should be fired immediately. That mistake could cost someone their lives
Nobody is safe
I believe that the police are too gun happy!!
I would not have made it any less wrong.
Handcuffing a 6th grade child is malicious in my opinion…How was that necessary??..he was with his parents and not driving….I hope they sue cos that child has been left traumatised.
The emotional distress and humiliation not to mention fear for their lives, I hope they didn't traumatize the kid for life. I really hope they pressed charges, if a normal group of people did this the cops wouldve shown no mercy give them their own treatment
