Wells Fargo has faced steep fines in the past for accounts opened without customers’ consent. Now, there are new claims of imposters setting up accounts in what appears to be a case of synthetic identity fraud. Wells Fargo says the allegations against the bank are “without merit.” NBC News’ Erin McLaughlin reports.

Hybrid fraud
Back in 2012 I went to open an account with them and they wanted me to open five different account with them and I ask why they say that how it is at Wells Fargo. Soon I started to notice money take out of my account like 5 dollars or 2 and when I ask why is money being taken out, they say it the fee for the account. After that I closed all my accounts and never bank with them again. I soon found out why they wanted me to open five accounts, my sister is a bank manager and she told me some banks wants their teller to open certain amounts of accounts by the end of the month or they can get in trouble. Never bank with Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo has had several huge fraudulent scams the past few years, I'd never bank there.

I don’t get why people still bank with them. They had an embezzlement scandal in the 80s, they targeted Black and Hispanics into high-cost subprime loans, sold risky mortgage-backed securities, giving loans to applicants who did not qualify, inflated premiums on forced-place insurance, they illegally opened over 1.5 million checking and savings accounts and 500,000 credit cards on behalf of customers without their consent, they overcharged homeowners for appraisals after they defaulted on their mortgage loans, scammed millions of auto-loan customers into buying insurance, they imposed excessive overdraft fees on checking-account customers, committed improper foreclosure practices, and did other fraudulent things.
I used to USE Wells Fargo. I got more out of them than they ever got out of me. When a bank is than corrupt they're easy to dupe. They won't report losses they just write it off. It's all fake fiat money.
A few years ago, while checking my credit report, I found a Wells Fargo credit card opened in my name. I've never bank with them, nor applied for any card with them. They refuse to close the account, and it still shows up on my credit report.
Banks have no security. Bitcoin is safer.
My account was hacked into and so far Wells Fargo will not reimburse my 9k .. my account was hijacked.
