I have a dog. Thankful that my landlord loves dogs. Most landlords just want a deposit. No big deal until you see the deposit amount. Or these "prestigious" rental companies that have to sell to a different owner every year.. point is don't be getting down on people getting rid of their pets, you don't know the situation

This is so horrible! Who does this? There's an epidemic of surrenders? Our pet food is over $100, and we have our yearly pet exam this month that costs over $600. We talk about not being able to even afford to have our beautiful Carys, but we NEVER would have taken her in just to relinquish her to a public space! I'm sorry, but I have to wonder what kind of person has the capability to do this. Shelters don't ask why a pet is being surrendered. There is zero reason to just abandon an animal like this, unless you just don't have a conscience. I chose NOT to have children, and my dog is my baby. We had a home visit, had to provide 4 references, and had a 2 week waiting period to make sure Carys was a good fit for us and that we were long haul interested in caring for her. Is this not standard anymore? Is this like getting a bunny or chick for Easter and then simply losing interest? It's disgusting. There is a right way and a wrong way. THIS is the wrong way.
