A Georgia couple has filed a lawsuit claiming their infant son was decapitated during delivery, and the doctor later attempted a cover-up. WXIA’s Molly Oak reports.

Sympathies? Yeah, that'll fix the system. How was a doctor, not hired by the medical facility, allowed to practise (poorly) medicine there, and put people's lives in danger? There is not enough compensation in the world for what the young couple has been forced to grapple with. May God somehow heal this situation. In Jesus' name, amen.
And THIS is why they make you sign Waivers in America saying you wont sue. I don't care if the Doctor was from China, your Hospital gave permission and gave them Privileges to Practice in your Facility/Hospital, that means YOUR HOSPITAL takes responsibility for her and her Actions. They need to go after the Doctors Medical License. Disgusting!

So if the hospital denies this, then why are they offering their sympathies to the family? If the incident didn't happen, then no sympathy is needed. Weird.

As horrible as this sounds it's probably better to wait for all the facts, because the news isnt to concerned with fact finding these days.

By saying the doctor is not their employee they are implying that it is not the responsibility of the hospital. I can't leave my hospital of employment and practice in another facility expect during authorised staff trainings….i work in West Africa
This sounds like a nightmare. I'm so sorry the poor baby and the family went through that. The hospital and the medical staff involved must be experiencing a lot of pain too. I think the credentials of the medical professionals involved should be thoroughly checked because I believe there is an increase in the number of people who have fake degrees and licenses. It could have just been a rare horrific event, but because it is so rare, I think it's worth investigating to see if someone made some mistakes and why that is.

They are owned and operated by Prime Healthcare, the fifth largest for-profit health system in the U.S. They operate 45 hospitals in 14 states people!
They do the same thing to thousands of babies everyday, you just don't want to call them that, the only difference here is it's not what the mother wanted, had it been what she wanted she would have gotten exactly that. Maybe the paperwork said abortion and not birth?
Patients Everywhere Beware! This can happen to any woman: your mother, your daughter, your sister, your aunt, your daughter-in-law, grand-daughters..in any state! Hospitals love to cover up negligence and malpractice! Most times, these situations get unreported and/or management distorts facts!

The fact that the hospital allowed a person who’s not an employee to deliver a patient’s baby is more grounds to do a thorough investigation of that hospital. Truly devastating, my deepest condolences to the family.

The whole hospital staff she lose their licenses and places in prison! They are required to report the incident! The doctor I’m sure has done this before why else was she so comfortable with telling the parents to have the baby cremated
