I truly am sorry for all the American families that lost loved ones in Afghanistan but it isn’t Biden you need to be castigating. It was the Republican George W. Bush administration that lied about there being weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to take us to war there and who then threw in invading Afghanistan as almost an afterthought. We were in Afghanistan for twenty years at a cost to the American taxpayer of $300 million, per day, every day for twenty years (that’s 7300 days). Do the math in your handy smartphone calculator: $300,000,000 times 7300. All that money and all those deaths, for what? FOR WHAT? I hate to say it but it has to be said, it was for nothing. Or if it was for something it was to enrich the American military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about. So don’t get mad at Biden. It was a mess the way he got us out of Afghanistan but at least he got us out and saved lives and a ton of money. Direct your angst at the war criminals who took us into yet another Vietnam type war in the first place. A war that lasted almost exactly the same amount of time and concluded in almost exactly the same way. But Bush was worse because he had the example of Vietnam to show him what could happen and ignored it completely. Remember this all the next time some war hawks are foaming at the mouth to send our kids off to one of these things.
