This has less to do with Hunter Biden than serving as a means to keep David Weiss from testifying (aka, lying) before the House in September. Weiss will still appear, but now the only answer he has to give is "I cannot speak about an on-going investigation". As for any actual investigation, Weiss will just keep doing what he has over the last 5 years. He'll probably be more careful about using investigators who aren't "Team Players".
