Remote area with limited resources? Thousands of Americans and other nationalities travel there every single day…. They are an American state. Where is the help? There were multiple boats off of that island at the time this happened…. America has the resources, they just did not designate them there. Some prime real estate up for a land grab soon.

I'm not shocked by the residents ignorance, i lived in Hawaii temporarily about 40 years ago, it was absolutely Chrystal clear to me then and now that Hawaii is a very risky place to live…if anything serious happens, you are out there and it's much harder to respond. I brought that up then, and have said it for years, it's just common sense that people scoff at…

Words might make our Hawaiian Americans feel seen, our actions make them feel loved and prioritised.
I ask my 49 Union States which one they would prefer in their time of need, words or actions?
If it's actions there's online information available to aid you in this act of solidarity. Give love, not words. Seeing people doesn't provide relief to those going without basics. They're still suffering the losses of loved community members. Worrying about essential items only adds further heartache, and trauma.

Kai isn't paddling to the mainland and back.with supplies. FEMA is on the ground in Lahaina. There is a protocol FEMA follows for disasters. Hope for the best.
