Yup. As a survivor of more than one California fire, that's what it looks like. In defense of the Hawaiian firefighters, as inept as they may be, there really was nothing they could have done.

In first 12 hours what did Pres. Biden, Vice Pres. Harris, Gov. Josh Green, et als., do? Absolutely nothing. The result: 106+ dead and 1000+ missing. This should be Democrats Hurricane Katrina, but our partisan, corrupt media will do everything to prevent that from happening. Fox News will blame Democrats and FEMA as well as China for starting fire with space laser. CNN et als will blame fires on climate change, ex-President Trump and Republicans. Pathetic. As with Katrina, climate change was a factor; so was government incompetence and insensitivity, at all levels. How many filthy rich billionaires, politicians and celebrities died?

12 hours to leave and they still decide t stay in to the night. Im confused why and how s many people had to die with that much time to evacuate
To be clear:
1. The people of Lahaina were told by the "officials" (earlier that day) that the fires (which some say were caused by down power lines) were 100% contained (therefore people acted accordingly).
2. It's a lame excuse from "officials" about not turning on the sirens (low key confession that it was deliberate). Many were asleep; Sirens would have woke them up.
3. Hold the "officials" accountable for their incompetence.
[Not only is it hurricane and wildfire season; The evacuation "officials" (both of them) were off the island.]
4. Not clear (at all) how "climate change" is related to this incident (as some have been suggesting).
5. Expose the criminal impact concerning the 130 year U.S. illegal occupation (not colonization) of the Hawaiian Kingdom; Since 1893.

My thoughts and prayers go to Maui island residents and to the residents of Lahaina. Can't imagine the horror that these people have been through so far. You see a fire blaring nearby and, the next moment, the very cars, trucks, buildings that once surrounded simply reduced to ashes😢 #prayforLahaina #prayforMaui

Please be careful about jumping in a pool like this woman did……If there is no open area between burning apartments or wooded areas and the pool then people have been known to boil to death. Particularly above ground pools.
