Christians uncle here. For some additional background, their FEMA claim got denied today and they have to refile. Many of the residents there are having the same problem. The whole thing is a mess and it seems there aren’t many disaster relief programs offering financial aid available just yet, outside of bidens 700.00. As many of you know, everything is shut down with no water or power, and no way in or out. The town is entirely gone, and tourism has stopped in Maui for the most part. It’ll likely be a while before things stabilize. My sister, Christian's mom, made a page under Lahaina Fire Relief for Local Hero to help get them support for the next few months, as it looks like they have a long road ahead.
