I am a HECO customer on Oahu. A few months ago we were notified our last shipment of coal had arrived and to expect an increase in our bills. Next I was notified the meters would be changed. Since this was right after the debacle in Colorado with thermostats being cotrolled by the company not the customer, I declined the new meter. Its been 90°F lately and I don't want my usage controlled. Now, since HECO will be sued for negligence, my bill will be raised to cover their costs and they may go bankrupt and then where will I get my electricity. This was a depopulation event with long term collateral ramifications.
