A US citizen its about near impossible to buy land in China. Why are we allowing them to buy American soil? and Who is selling it to them?
Banning Chinese entities buying US land is ok, but banning private citizens who are family members of US citizens from owning land or property just because of their nationality is 100% discrimination is not even constitutional!
When I lived in DTLA in 2015-2016, there was 8 highrise apartments being built, before they were finished 90% of all of them were already prepurchased by Chinese kids. for a while DTLA was being filled with Asian people. Met a 17 year old chinese girl drove a Ferrari California that was going to school at FIDM and owned a $2 million dollar apartment. Asian rich kids put white kids to shame. I'm more the exception lol. Everyone in my neighborhood under 25 years old owns a Tesla, while being unemployed.
I don’t understand why outsiders are allowed to purchase land in the United States. It’s not like citizens that are buying land, it’s companies who are buying property. And why are we only focusing on China, seriously, there are other countries who are way more dangerous that own several properties (and in my opinion are causing the housing crisis because NO ONE is keeping an eye out on who owns what and the amount of properties are being bought). The lack of common sense and transparency is unbelievable, this is why our country is a fire dumpster because of the system.

The racism is hilarious. We should have a problem with the way corporations are snatching up all real estate. The law or laws we should impose would fix both problems simultaneously. But instead of even discussing those solutions we are dawdling in racist red herring (that sounds like a dish).

If you aren't an American citizen, then you shouldn't be allowed to buy a property period. Many nations ban anyone thats not a Citizen from purchasing Land and Housing. American should also ban foreigners from buying land.
Who's the fool here? The US or China? I say China's the fool to buy land and investments in the US. It's not a question of IF, it's a question of WHEN there will be a proxy war between US and China over Taiwan. When that happens, the US will confiscate all Chinese assets in the US… just like the west did to Russians over Ukraine. So Chinese are stupid to buy and invest in the US. Chinese Americans will be put into interment camps… like what happened to Japanese Americans during WW2.

No one who is not a citizen should be able to buy or long-term lease US real estate, not just Chinese. The only exception should be limited to housing transactions for people with green cards or Visas to occupy personally. Why should US be for sale?
