These are present commercial pilots, who were military pilots. I can t usually tell if they were military, many times they stop on a dime. Fa's is very strict.

The Chinese passenger jet which smashed into a mountain this year killing all 132 people on board was deliberately crashed by the pilot or an intruder, investigators have said.
Flight data from the black box recovered from the China Eastern Boeing 737-800 shows human input forced the plane into a nosedive as it plummeted to the ground in the mountainous Guangxi area on March 21.
Experts believe it shows that only murder-suicide could explain how the plane ended up with a near vertical trajectory after failing to find any technical faults that caused China's deadliest aviation disaster for 28 years.
The pilots did not respond to repeated calls from air traffic controllers and nearby planes during the rapid descent, authorities have said.
'The plane did what it was told to do by someone in the cockpit,' a source told the Wall Street Journal.
While the pilot is a main suspect, investigators are not ruling out a crew member or passenger entering the flight deck and taking over the controls.

I lived in a sober house with a dude from the military that was fully disabled according to the military. He got like 4 grand a month to sit around but he could still get a job if he wanted to and he would somehow get to keep all the money. He just sat around all day though
Reminder, out of these 5000 pilots, allmost 400 of them are suffering from depression or sadness, nothing else. And these are pilots without any past issues with flying, even while they had these "emotional health issues"
Now you're firing people because they're having a bad day or sad? What's next, taxi driver can't drive you because he got divorced the other week?

So VA compensation isn't the same thing social security disability. These pilots probably got some small rating for PTSD, ratings very and can range from 0-100 percent. You are also given a combined rating for service related injuries and illness. So, a Vet could be getting 70% compensation with a PTSD rating that's 30%(Anxiety, depression, ect) and have the other 40% be several other service related injuries. Point being is that these people are still fit to fly and I see this just as another way to screw over the Vets.
I personally know someone that was recieving disability from the military for a physical condition. Full disability! But still able to get an FAA 1st class medical?

The US air system is very safe not because of, but in spite of, the FAA. The FAA is the same as the CDC. Or NIH. FDA. Or FBI. Huge, corrupt, inefficient, bloated bureaucracies. We are becoming more and more a failed nation. And as this progresses, the safety record will erode. And we our accident rates will begin to soar. And there won't be a thing that can be done about it. There simply won't be enough smart, tough-minded, competent people to do the turnaround. The inertia is staggering.
Too many vets getting full disability paychecks. It’s bullshit. Most do need it , but too many out that don’t too.
This is done because the FAA is so archaic in their treatment of medical issues. Taking a Tylenol for example is considered to be taboo by the FAA. When your career can be done for life with the stoke of the pen by an AME, no wonder medical issues are hidden.
Let the 600 airline pilots all fly; shut down this worthless FAA investigation. The FAA is a total fraud.

The letter cites federal guidance that says pilots should not receive medical certificates “without clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration” if they take certain drugs. The list includes any medications the FDA “approved less than 12 months ago.”
The letter was signed by seven people including Cole, cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, Robert Kennedy Jr. and other activists against childhood immunizations and COVID-19 public health recommendations, including attorneys from Children’s Health Defense and Advocates for Citizens’ Rights."
That’s the latest scam. Every soldier getting out claims service related injury whether they have it or not. Huge waste to tax payers. Scam
They are all in violation of 14CFR 61.53 Prohibition on flying with a known medical deficiency. I will gladly take their job!
