I've no use for the mullahs' regime, but I won't deny the U.S. government's aggressive actions against Iran three times during the 20th century: apparently, Iran is to be nothing more or less than a servile satrapy. After Iranians deposed the Shah and took over the U.S. Embassy in 1979, they pieced together the embassy's shredded documents. Among those documents was proof that CIA and MI-6 had staged the 1953 coup against the elected Prime Minister, Mohamed Mossadegh. The Iranians published the embassy documents in book form. You could buy them from any bookseller in Tehran for a few rials. If you tried to bring it into the U.S., however, it was banned for "national security" reasons. As with LBJ's Gulf of Tonkin lies, the truth was not a secret to our supposed adversaries: the American people needed to be kept in the dark.
