Hate to point this out, but America no longer MAKES the "most sophisticated" semiconductors in the world. And no longer even MAKES the equipment to MAKE the most sophisticated semiconductors. Make stock buy backs illegal, that has what's wrecked the industry. And RAISE corporate taxes so that the CEOS have a choice, invest in the company with R&D, or pay the taxes. That's what we used to do prior to making it so most of these corporations get money BACK from the governments. Even the Chips Act is nothing but a BAIL OUT of the LOSER CEOs that wrecked their own industry.
