Threatening jurors is not a good play.
“We have sworn affidavits from two jurors.” All I have seen is one.
Since this press conference regarding a mistrial, I have listened to Judge Newman’s jury instructions three times. I have also reviewed the directives he gave to the jury during the trial. Judge Newman made it crystal clear that each juror was to use their own impartial judgement and not allow others to pressure them into a decision. If any juror was not comfortable with their verdict, they had the chance to express that when the jury was polled. The jurors could have easily spoken out during the trial if they felt there was misconduct occurring. I’m quite sure the defense would have been more than happy to assist the juror in meeting with the judge to discuss the matter. If they felt there was misconduct in the part of the court clerk, they could have reached out to the defense counsel. The jurors were not shackled into isolation or silence when the court was adjourned each day. To speak of it now is highly suspect and reveals more if a lack of character and integrity in the individual juror than the Court itself.
I have been saying this from the onset…He was convicted on the money crimes not on murder.

How irresponsible and unprofessional of her to be doing that…I can see how that would lead to a retrial and I bet they will try to bring in a judge who doesn’t require evidence of his financial crimes…saying that however…it doesn’t change the truth.

I bet they made him watch as they killed them.

I’ve worked EMS for close to 20 years I can handle a lot except a$$he cops and people like a clerk in court trying to make sure she gets a book put out. They need to get this lady out of the courthouse and honestly I think it’s only fair every case she was there for gets looked at an example needs to be made out of her and honestly any person that has a upcoming case should be allowed to go to another state to be tried with all the damn corruption between AM the clerk judges lawyers that’s insane. These attorneys should come up with new evidence to exonerate their client. Why isn't there talk of a suspect/or suspects? I know the burden of proof is on the State, but what's the point of a new trial if his attorneys do not have irrefutable proof that Murdaugh didn't commit the murders? Are they hoping to get him off on a technicality?

There was nothing fair about that trial … This is just the icing on the cake of misconduct. Alex is a total douche, but he did not get a fair trial – get him on the financials … fine, but do it fair. I do not believe he killed his family, I could see past all the corruption happening during that trial, but I didn't see THIS coming. They should have NEVER brought in the financials. SLED lied and did a crappy job. If they'd have stuck to the murder trial and no jury tampering … it would've been a different trial.
