Escaped prisoner Danelo Cavalcante continues to elude capture as the massive search to find him presses on into Thursday, a week after he fled the Chester County Prison by crab-walking up a wall, the same method used by another inmate who escaped in May.
The manhunt has brought hundreds of law enforcement officers using drones, helicopters and dogs to southeastern Pennsylvania, disrupting the lives of thousands of residents, many of whom are on edge about the fugitive’s whereabouts.
At a Wednesday press conference, authorities released video of Cavalcante’s brazen escape and announced a shift east in its perimeter after a resident saw Cavalcante in a creek bed behind their house in Pennsbury Township, a suburban residential neighborhood several miles east of Longwood Gardens, a botanical garden where Cavalcante was seen on camera Monday night.

He's hiding practically in back woods areas and we're currently in an excessive heat warning. I've driven on the last street he was spotted on. This prison is near my high school. I graduated a few years ago but I still know most of the faculty. School has been delayed now for 3 days and there are police practically everywhere.

It is my understanding he is 5’ tall and 120 pounds. In his climb out you can see he has muscular arms and shoulders. Just being small it is easier for him to hide. It’s easier to make a better guess of whether it is him or not because he is smaller.

While the search was ongoing for the Boston Marathon terrorist they had swat teams, a perimeter and many resources local to national. He was found by an alert resident who noticed his boat cover was askew and notified authorities. He was just outside the established perimeter. I believe he is still in prison waiting for execution.
I wish media questions were more sensitive. We don’t need to know everything. They don’t need to tell us everything. Their plans are better left with some secrets. We don’t know if he has picked up a radio source.
