Why would we care what is costing a company that cheats and robs people blindly? If you visited your information is at risk that’s what your concern should be. They overcharged and scammed people for decades. They also tell you to visit and don’t care if they are infested with bed bugs.
And this is why you have a manual failover for everthing. The entire casino floor should be completelty segregated, local only, no internet connection, and manual updates by admins only. Some things are best left old school. Our nuclear launch grid is offline for good reason. This should be too.

OH, NO!!! I'm scheduled to attend a slot tournament this weekend at Bellagio and now I'm hesitant to go IF I'm going to have to deal with some of the issues described: No Room Key Access, Slot Machines down, Player's Club rating system down, MGM's website down,Ticket-in/Ticket-out (TITO) system down, Room charging system down, Cashier Cage voucher redemption system down and even ATMs down… oh, wait… that last one is actually a PLUS! 🙂 I'll need to contact my Slot Host to determine if the Slot Tournament will proceed [notably, slot tournament machines are separate and distinct from slot machines located on casino floor, as they work off a pre-set credit/meter and do not require insertion of cash or vouchers to play]. The positive spin to this is that many other slot tournament players will more than likely decide to forgo attending the tournament which will, in effect, increase my odds of winning the top prize (though, per standard slot tournament rules, the top prize is likely to be adjusted based on the number of entrants participating). It'l be an interesting trip indeed.
Sounds like they have way too many things connected to one system.
