There is no other agency on the planet that would have more accumulated data via all of their systems. They should stop being part of the cover up, and start to finally be fully transparent. So, basically, NASA is teaming up with the DOD to use members of the general public to surveil U.S. skies for "strange" flying objects. Nobody would want another flying object like a Chinese "spy balloon," the last example being first detected by an ordinary citizen, catching the government off guard — would they? I might have dismissed the inclusion of amateur sightings in the NASA-DOD data-gathering as a PR effort at "de-stigmatizing" conversations around UFOs or UAPs, were it not for Pentagon confirmation of a NASA-appointed new position — the director of UAP research — to deal with these sorts of sightings, complementary to but separate from the DOD unit (AARO) that deals with the military sightings.

Involving AI that is artificial intelligence seems like adding one more agency to understand UFOs. To know UFOs and alien life we need to understand what the "LIFE" is.
