I hope Ford could make it out of this, and reach an agreement with the UAW by tomorrow. Otherwise, GM and Stellantis will take longer.
💰💰#Ford CEO Jim Farley earned $21 MILLION in total compensation [2022]💰💰
Adjusting for inflation, #autoworkers have seen their AVERAGE #WAGES #FALL 19.3% since 2008, according to Adam Hersh, senior economist at the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute. That's because autoworker "concessions made following the 2008 auto industry crisis were never reinstated," Hersh said in a recent blog post, "including a suspension of cost-of-living adjustments."
HOW MUCH MONEY DO THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKER #CEOs make?
Ford CEO Jim Farley earned $21 million in total compensation last year, the Detroit News reported, while Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares made $24.8 million, according to the Detroit Free Press. GM CEO Mary Barras tallied nearly $29 million in 2022 pay, Automotive News reported.
Overall CEO pay at the Big Three companies rose 40% from 2013 to 2022, according to EPI.
Barras makes 362 times more than the typical GM worker, while Tavares makes 365 times more, according to company filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Farley at Ford makes 281 times more, filings show.
Do not demand more work or they will be able to renegotiate.
Of course theyre optimistic. The UAW is fighting for wages they should have had 20 years ago..
Ford to Dems in 2022: $366,839
Ford to Reps in 2022: $348,729
Department of Energy to Ford in 2023: $9.2 billion
The automakers created this problem themselves. They left car prices too high for too long because they wanted to do share buy backs and give out huge bonuses. If they would have dropped their prices back down to pre pandemic levels, I bet the union wouldn’t be asking for so much.
That CEO doesnt work harder then any UAW member but he had no problem giving himself a huge slice of the profit pie
Unions need to spread all over the country, its time to get real wage increases. The F150 is the most overpriced pickup truck. They are price gouging the consumers. 80k for a box with 4 wheels, come on
Liar.. End corporate greed 🥂🇺🇲
Y'all didn't go bankrupt, and WE carried you and got used🤬
This mf look like a weirdo he off drugs or is a robot
This guy is full of it. They can afford. Stop worrying about the shareholders alone. All stakeholders need to be included. This guy need to take a huge pay cut
Have to keep investing ? A 29 million dollar salary cutting that would most definitely help
solidarity with UAW. Shawn Fain is AWSOME 🙂
"Transition of the industry" = Electric Cars 2:30
Don't forget were #1 in recalls also……… When the CEO's make Millions a year, they don't care about blue collar workers….. he gonna run FoMoCo into the ground & RUN with full pockets….
F them let them go work at McDonald's
How about you tell them how you gave yourself a 40% raise? 🤔
Vehicle prices keep going up because the CEO is going to raise 46% ridiculous
First we need to ask how much is the current wages for the union workers. Average American workers is at $15 per hour. How much are their hourly wages?
If we don’t stand now things will never change. It’s time we make the companies realize who actually does the work and allows them to have these big fat salaries that they do, the UAW workers make that happen and in return get the scraps every contract! From now on record profits = record contracts!!! No more!
A better speech than Tommy Boy
The American dream includes working hard! The lazy auto workers do nothing. They have no skills other than extortion. Where else could these people get jobs that pay that much? Answer nowhere!
Uaw is asking for the to much. Who do you think is going to cover those costs?? Consumers! UAW is going to price themselves out of a job when union vehicles cost to much more compared to non-union vehicles. They'll ship the manufacturing out and bye-bye UAW and the workers.
What Farley is saying is, "Ford needs UAW plants to fund EVs" It's funny how important the UAW is when Farley has gone around the UAW to start up non-union EV plants. I've seen what Ford is trying to pay future automobile workers and Farley should be embarrassed.
😂 totally deflected and avoided the salary question. take less money Jim. grandpas rolling over in his grave at how you've treated your workers.
Love how he speaks on 5 weeks vacation I got that but what good does it do after 21 years every day I apply for get denied here it is bout mid September and still have over half left cause they won’t let me have any of the days I’ve applied for off. A strike will not raise the prices of vehicles and if it does it’s them being greedy and seeing an opportunity to price gouge and that should be illegal. Biden wants to do something for the working class he should write an executive order saying at the onset of the strike and for the year raising vehicle prices would be illegal but he won’t cause just like media the democrats are bought an paid for by these large corporations and companies and the working class has been decimated. The vast majority of big 3 workers can’t even afford the vehicles that they help build. Individuals who deliver boxes get paid $49 an hour and some how that didn’t bankrupt that company but individuals that build 80 thousand plus dollar trucks an SUVs can’t dare make more then $32 and that’s if and when they are made permanent and that can take 10 years then 8 year grow in so a vast majority of these workers takes them 15 years or more before they make almost $20 less then those that deliver boxes,ya that’s not backwards. In todays money back in 1972 a big 3 worker was making $62 an hour but they don’t wanna bring those wages back to the 70% region cause it’ll bankrupt those white collar individuals that don’t add a drop of worth to these companies yet they receive 22 million in bonuses spend upwards of 50 billion in stock buy backs and dividends but dare spend some money on the people who make those profits and it’s all out were insane. In 09 COLA was suspended and told it’ll be returned once they was profitable yet here we are 14 years later and it’s still excuse after excuse upon why they can’t,less then 13% of Americans want EV’s yet they plan to listen to a bunch of tree hugging democrats that have lost their minds and way with working families and forcing companies to do this that’s also destroying another group of middle class jobs just like Biden did with pipeline workers. Only people that benefit from the switch to these is the wealthy.
Jim Farley should take a pay cut so Ford can be more "competitive."
