20% raise for a 40% inflation still put you at negative 20%…… remember 20% is the total raise combined for all 4 years…. so that put UAW members at just 5% raise first year…. Example, if an UAW member makes $100,000 / yr…. the new contract will be $100,000 + 5% raise = $105,000 first year… second year will be $105,000 + 5 %= 110,250….. 3rd year will be $110,250 + 5% = $115,762….. 4th year is $115,762 + 5% = $121, 550….. a total raise of just $21, 550 for all 4 years….can this amount of raise in salary combat the inflation and constant cost of living????? NO…….. price of food has gone up by 50% in some.. electric bill has doubled…. car payment has doubled….. gasoline right now is back to $6/gal in CALIFORNIA……

Man Biden and the Progressives have really screwed up the Auto Industry with their Green New Deal. Which take jobs away from UAW workers, just to shove their EVs down everyone's throats. Now he and the Progressives are flooding the country and work force with millions of non union working cheap labor migrants for the bidding of big corporations. Tens of thousands weekly in our southern border.

Something is way wrong when these corrupt criminal unions can disrupt and hold a portion of the economy hostage like this ( think long shore dock workers ) – Teamsters were under federal supervision for 30yrs starting in 1989 UAW might actually be under fed sup now strikes shouldn't be allowed too wasteful and disruptive instead binding and fair third party arbitration under federal supervision if necessary starting 6 months before contract expiration the opposing parties are simply too polarized to solve the issues on their own arriving at a strike point is a management failure on both sides and for POTUS to choose sides is simply irresponsible
These demands aren't sustainable and the UAW isn't bargaining in good faith, they aren't bargaining at all actually. I will liken it to extortion. Get someone qualified in there before these companies take Capital Flight. Imagine paying 300k annually per employee for what the IATF has labeled unskilled labor! It's insane for the long term, the CEOs know it. Pay 5 days and only get 4… out their damn mind. Would anyone pay 5 days of groceries and accept 4. No… no business should ever agree to this contract.
