Fish,pond, otter needs to eat,built a hotel in it's environment. There you go. He lived there first.
There's this military hospital I used to go to in Washington, and they have a pair of swans that would chase away canadian geese. Eveyone loved watching them.
Then maybe a year or two ago, one of them was killed by an otter apparently. It came from a canal nearby and headed into the pond, probably to get some of the carp we had in there. Instead it got a swan, then ran for the hills. A sad day for the mate.

We had the same problem earlier this year. We have had to install electric wiring around our pool. It is timed to come on at about midnight and goes off at 7.00 a.m.the electricity won’t get through the otters fur, to shock her, but it’s low enough to make contact with its nose. She hasn’t been back
This is terrible! My cousins would be devastated if the coi fish in the pond were eaten.
