A charter bus packed full of students heading to band camp crashed and rolled down an embankment into the median of Interstate 84, 60 miles north of New York City. At least two adults are dead and over 40 are injured, according to authorities. NBC News’ Emilie Ikeda has the latest updates.

Ive taken some pretty crazy dashound trips so ya. They have the same tires as trucks. Busses need to slow down in areas like this.🎉
Wawayanda, its not Wawa, like the fast food place in NJ/PA, WAy-we-anda WRONG. THAT IS CORRECT WAY TO SAY IT! 2ND WA IS SILENT! , is the town where my mom used to work for the state in a hamlet called New Hampton til she retired. Right on 17M going toward Goshen. Sadly mom died from covid in 2022.

Walden rt 208. I call it death zone. Sadly my best friend was killed crossing 84 east of Middletown going toward old exit 5. A truck killed him when he ran out of gas. I consider this stretch of hiway to be one of the worst in USA. Reason we have 15 xs of drivers colliding from all walks of life. People don't use their blinkers much to change lanes. And most speed around corners even on I-84 sadly. I guess being only an hr nw of NYC brings people across 17 & 84 all the time coming and going to /from NYC. In addition I-84 is frequently used from New England to Poconos and Scr/W-B points north and south. It's almost like the cross roads of the whole North East outside of NYC. Btw most got the name of town WAy-we-anda WRONG. THAT IS CORRECT WAY TO SAY IT! 2ND WA IS SILENT!
Someone did not do a safety check on the bus before being driven. Now an investigation will find and prosecute the person ,s at fault.
