The appointment of judges to the supreme court by the president is made even in the United States and this has not been challenged by Americans until today. Nethanyahu wants to do the same, he wants to appoint judges to the supreme court. In Israel, the judicial system has become a club, where judges (in general) and also supreme court judges, take turns in power through their own appointments. It is a system full of reverse nepotism, where judges appoint family members of other judges to public positions. etc. Nethanyahu is wanting to change this reality.
