Google maps is not real time data. If a Bridge goes down on a tuesday, it is impossible for google to have this data point for every bridge in the world.

Google/ Gps is just a tool to us drivers… You still have to have some common sense when driving. If anyone's at fault it should be the county/township/city this bridge is in. Was this bridge not blocked off? Hardly looks like a road worth driving on from the footage…

I think places should definitely have signage if something is wrong with the road. Listening to the facts makes me understand that google was wrong for directing drivers over a broken bridge.
As usual, this was caused by more than one factor. There could be several entities bearing responsibility, including the driver.
I’m not accusing nor defending anyone; just some words of advice: drive carefully, eyes on the road, and don’t rely heavily on GPS’s.

I understand that Google maps is not always accurate. But, how does one drive off a bridge? There should still be construction signs. And when you're driving, you should still be watching the road.
