It's been estimated that if the UAW gets their way, it will potentially add $5,000 to the cost of EV's. I couldn't even afford the cheapest EV on the market right now as it is. The cheapest Tesla is at around $40,000 plus taxes, etc.. Now they say you can get one for around $27,000 after rebates, etc.. But you can't get that rebate until you've got the loan for $40,000, and hope your rebate paperwork works out.
How smart is oleary to not listen to our president, who got 81 million votes. LOL

Why are you going to buy an EV for $60k and 3 years later have to replace the battery for 25 to 30k and the car isn’t even paid off. So that is now a 90k car in 3 years. This is crazy to even consider doing so no one in their right mind should by EV cars
I think the best solution is a CO2 tax on fuel that moves prices to European levels. The market will find the best solution for it. If it's EVs it's EVs, if it's plugin hybrids or just smaller cars then that's it.
