If those animatronics at amusement parks or Arnold Schwarzinger’s character in “The Terminator” set you on edge, you might want to keep away from Agility Robotics’ newest factory.

The creators of Digit, a human-sized bipedal robot complete with “eyes,” are bringing the world’s first humanoid robot factory to Oregon, creatively named RoboFab.

Agility Robotics announced the opening in Salem, Oregon on Monday, saying they expect to soon have the capacity to produce 10,00 robots annually. Construction of the 70,000-square-foot facility began last year and is set to open in late 2023.

Creating advanced robots for sale to the public is a new development in the robotics industry, as access to such high-end tech has been generally reserved for entities such as businesses and government agencies in the past.

Now, however, Damion Shelton, Agility Robotics’ co-founder and CEO, said the opening of the facility marks a pivotal moment in the history of robots: the beginning of mass production of commercial humanoid bots.

  1. Now imagine all of them with machine guns in their hands sound familiar

  2. So they can move boxes from point A to point B. Seems like a waste of money to me.

  3. Making money is action, Keeping money is behavior. Growing money is wisdom. I found this out a week ago after getting a $32,800 return on my $3,500 investment in 14 days️❤️❤️❤️

  4. Over time it appears our human workforce will be drastically reduced. Companies will replace people, no holidays off, raises, benefits, retirement, no calls off work, no sick pay, insurance, disability insurance, medical, dental, eye coverage….ITS A WRAP PEOPLE!! We already have AI picking up on business calls and trying to hold you hostage when it cant decipher what you said and then when you ask for an agent, it tries to convince you to stay a bit longer while it repeats it could not understand what you just said!!! There goes the age old and time proven benefit of engaging human 2 human!!!! Im not impressed b/c robots & AI erodes whats left of human and organic interface. Just my opinion and take on the evolution of the mechanical/robotic culture revolution taking place. One reminded me of those older futuristic movies that many thought were just fiction. Well, here we are. Theres a quote about Life is art & Art imitates life. The creativity and inventions are derived from ones imagination, technical skills and vision of what/how something is created to improve or replace something else. May God bless the world with the ability to adapt whether anyone wants to or not. The improvements sought will certainly enhance production, distribution, and the overall goal of reducing money going out while increasing incoming revenue. Hey its the evolution of all things intangible, no-human contact, and internet driven exchanges. If you're not onboard, you're gonna miss out or have a difficult time navigating the waters of change. I wrote a bit so forgive me. This vid just took me😢 there 😊

  5. TIME FOR SOME MAJOR TAXING ON TECH COMPANIES AND THOSE WHO BENEFIT FROM THEIR REPLACING HUMAN LABOR WITH MACHINE LABOR. the conspiracy of replacement is only real between human and technology and those who employ it. The BILLIONAIRE CLASS ARE PLEASED WITH LARGE NUMBERS OF HUMAN DEATHS THAT OCCUR ACROSS THE GLOBE AND THEY WANT THAT PACE TO PICK UP, now that all labor work is in jeopardy. Watch the numbers for human deaths begin to climb noticeably from year to year. Those in America who have not reached at least a million dollars of wealth or are not earning at least $250,000. per year, will be considered easy to expend. It’s coming if republican policymakers have anything to say about it.

  6. It remind me of Rosie from the Jetsons cartoons!

  7. So when humans are replaced who will actually but the goods these robots make?

  8. I actually feel empathy for the almost human robots

  9. No pay, no vacation……..

  10. — I am super curious about robotics but do NOT put Ai in them…!!! I would love to visit this place, especially since I live in Oregon 😉
