Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar was carjacked as he arrived at his D.C. apartment, located less than a mile from the Capitol building. Police recovered the car but are still looking for three masked suspects. NBC News’ Tom Costello has more details on the increase in violence in the nation’s capital.

Somebody shot the windsheild of the car I rode home in today. A pickup passed on the right as one small caliber bullet was fired from the drivers window. 3 of us, startled by the inpact & discharge, were happy when the bullet didn't penetrate the glass. Got home and reported a drive by shotting on the freeway. State police provided a police report # for the insurance claim. Next time take a picture of your surroundings. Yep, will do Sir!!!
