It's a combination of a couple of things: consumer gluttony and corporate greed. Gluttony is not about food, it's about any form of excess. What use is all the China-junk in your home? Look around and ask yourself. You know, most of that is assembled from excess and overstock parts they make that they have to find something to do with? That's why it's always small and "not quite right". They also like to take their radioactive waste products and put it into trinkets that Amazon then sells to idiots as "negative ion" "5g" whatever crap. I can't even keep up with it. Put a geiger counter to some of this cheap china-junk some day. Especially that plastic wearable nonsense they sell to idiots (I don't remember what they market it as; I just remember that it's solid and black powder compressed into various shapes and it gives off a shitload of ionizing radiation.
